Freezing Rain, Sleet and Snow currently falling across Clarksville – Montgomery County

Ice and Snow means Take it SlowClarksville, TN – A light drizzle and sleet mixture has moved into the Clarksville-Montgomery County area. Roads, sidewalks and steps are being coated in ice and sleet. This will turn into more of a snow sleet mixture by early Monday morning.  The temperature is expect to drop to 20°F tonight with a high Monday of 28°F.

Sleet and freezing rain will make roads slick with a coating of ice in addition to snow that may occur during the day. Citizens are likely to wake to hazardous travel conditions across the area.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning for tonight through midnight CST Monday night for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area and all of Middle Tennessee.

NWS predicts 3 to 10 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts possible North of Interstate 40.

It is advised that anyone not needing to travel in the morning stay home.
