Sukowatey’s prints are both autobiographical and universal in disposition. She uses her own mixed ethnical perspective to create works that join Eastern and Western cultural influences in collaboration.

“I am essentially a conglomeration of two different ways of thinking,” Sukowatey said. “My prints celebrate my infatuation with the juxtaposed combination of differing attitudes across the world with color, structure and forms.”

Sukowatey has shown locally and nationally in galleries across the United States, including The Golden Thread Gallery in Connecticut, Emerge in North Carolina and the Franklin Arts Center in Minnesota.
