Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The weekly Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Report provides Clarksvillians with a glimpse at the activities and events that are available from the Parks and Recreation Department for them to enjoy together as a family.

This weeks highlights include: Clarksville Downtown Market Vendor Applications, Toddler Splash Pool Party, and Young Champions Cheerleading.

2015 Clarksville Downtown Market

Vendor Applications are now available

Do you want to sell your homegrown or homemade items this summer? The Clarksville Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for 2015 Clarksville Downtown Market vendors!

Vendor applications are available online at www.cityofclarksville.com/downtownmarket and must be submitted no later than April 3rd. Potential vendors may complete the form online or download a printable version to be submitted to 102 Public Square.

Please note that there is a separate application for food truck vendors that is also available on the website. Any applications submitted later than April 3rd will not be considered for the 2015 market. Vendors who have been selected to be a part of the 2015 Market season will be contacted by the Clarksville Downtown Market Manager for payment and further instruction.

An exciting addition to the Market this year will be the new Clarksville Downtown Market Manager, Robert Rayburn. Feel free to contact Robert at robert.rayburn@cityofclarksville.com or 931.645.7476 with any inquiries regarding the Clarksville Downtown Market.

The Clarksville Downtown Market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday, May 16th through October 10 on Public Square.

Join the Toddler Splash Pool Party at the Indoor Aquatic Center

Toddlers and their families can enjoy swimming, crafts, and other fun activities at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, on March 4rd!

Toddler Splash is held on the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00am until noon for ages 1-5 years. Cost to attend is just $3.00 per person! Parents are also required to pay admission.

Young Champions Cheerleading boost spirit and self-esteem at the Crow Center

The Crow Community Center has spirit, yes we do! Youth ages 4 to 15 can learn cheers, motion techniques, flexibility and stunts (only for ages 7 and up) in the Young Champions Cheerleading program. Young Champions is held on Mondays at the Crow Center, located at 211 Richview Road.

This program encourages youth to have a fun time while being active and improving self-esteem through teamwork and achievement. Cost to participate is $7.00 per class plus an initial $7.00 registration fee. A Community Center ID is required and available for purchase at the Center. Center IDs are valid at the Crow, Kleeman, and Burt-Cobb Centers for one calendar year.
