Austin Peay State University Center of Excellence For The Creative Arts to hold reading event with Charlotte Pence and Adam Prince

APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative ArtsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University welcomes two award-winning authors, as Charlotte Pence and Adam Prince will read excerpts of their works on Thursday, March 26th at 8:00pm at the APSU Honors Common. The event is free and open to the public.

Pence is the author of two award-winning poetry chapbooks and the editor of “The Poetics of American Song Lyrics,” a collection of academic essays that regards songs as literature and identifies intersections between poems and songs.

Her first full-length collection of poems, “Many Small Fires” was released in February 2015.

She is married to Prince and is an assistant professor of English and creative writing at Eastern Illinois University.

Prince’s fiction has appeared in The Missouri Review, The Southern Review and Narrative Magazine, among others. His first book, “The Beautiful Wishes of Ugly Men” is available from Black Lawrence Press. He is currently at work on a novel about identity and surveillance that takes place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
