Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY – Recently, employees from Campbell Crossing, the Lend Lease military family housing community located on Fort Campbell, volunteered at the Manna Café, a nonprofit organization located in Clarksville, TN.

Starting bright and early Saturday, May 16th at 5:00am, team members from the Piece Village Community came out to help feed the less fortunate in the surrounding Fort Campbell community.

They started the morning out by helping in the kitchen and warehouse, cooking, cleaning and loading trucks. Then at 8:00am they drove to downtown Clarksville and set up tents on the rainy Saturday morning, and passed out food.

“We all had a great time giving back and helping those in need,” said Jolene Jakobs, community manager for Pierce Village. “I even brought my sons along to help, and we as a family plan to donate more of our time as it was a very humbling and rewarding experience. I have challenged each of the Campbell Crossing Community Offices to donate some of their time to help serve our local community.”

It may have been raining, but that didn’t stop the team from coming out and volunteering. They loaded up and headed to downtown Clarksville where they spent the day passing out food.
