Clarksville Police charge Shoplifter with Multiple Charges after she becomes combative

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN -Yesterday, May 28th, 2015 at 5:15pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a Theft of Property Shoplifting call at Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Chauntel Jackson, a 20-year-old Clarksville resident, was placed in custody for shoplifting. Ms. Jackson became combative during handcuffing and required three officers to hold her while her cuffs were placed behind her.

She kicked and spat on the first Officer, kicked and attempted to bite the second Officer, and dug her fingernails into the hand of the third Officer.

When Ms. Jackson found the opportunity, she kicked out the rear driver’s side window of a CPD squad car and the glass cut the hand and arm of one of the three Officers.

After being transported to Gateway Medical Center Emergency Room, due to cutting her feet after kicking out the squad car window, she was taken to Montgomery County Booking.

She was charged with Theft of Property, Vandalism, Resisting Arrest, and Aggravated Assault (x3). Her total bond amount is $91,000.
