Clarksville Parks and Recreation Report for June 21st, 2015

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The weekly Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Report provides Clarksvillians with a glimpse at the activities and events that are available from the Parks and Recreation Department for them to enjoy together as a family.

This weeks highlights include: Second Annual Daddy Daughter Date Night, Clarksville Downtown Market Upcoming Events and 3rd annual Back to School Splash.

Second Annual Daddy Daughter Date Night

Registration is still available

Sail away for a night of fun at the Second Annual Daddy Daughter Date Night. Hosted by Clarksville Parks and Recreation, the event will be held Thursday, June 25th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

Tickets are on sale now and include an evening filled with dinner, dancing, and dessert. Prizes and fun activities will be happening all night long.

This event is the perfect way for dad, uncle, grandpa, or any positive male role model to invite their favorite girls to a memorable evening created just for them. The event is open to all girls 5-17, and fathers are invited to bring more than one date if needed.

Tickets are $25.00 per couple, and $10.00 each additional person.

This year’s theme is “Sail Away”. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme with nautical attire, as cruise-ship style refreshments will be served, along with a DJ.

Registration is available online at www.cityofclarksville.com/datenight . You can also call the Parks and Recreation offices, 931.645.7476, or register in person, 102 Public Square, from 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday.

Clarksville Downtown Market Upcoming Events

A community?favorite and shopping destination, the Clarksville Downtown Market on Public Square offers a variety of events. Festivities are free of charge and diverse, offering something for visitors of all ages looking to have a great time at one of Clarksville’s most treasured gathering places.

Market Scavenger Hunt ? Saturday, June 27th: Explore the Market and get to know more about our vendors and their business by participating in our scavenger hunt. Stay tuned to our Facebook page to find what prizes will be up for grabs!

Christmas in July ? Saturday, July 18th: Get a head start on your holiday shopping as the North Pole invades the Market. Not only will the Market be decked out in Christmas décor, but vendors will be selling Christmas items, too.

3rd annual Back to School Splash

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to give away school supplies

Youth entering kindergarten through 12th grade will have the opportunity to receive school supplies from the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department during the 2014 Back to School Splash!

For only $3.00 per person, participants will receive school supplies and a fun pool party at New Providence Pool on August 1st, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

To ensure that your child can participate in the Back to School Splash, be sure to pre-register no later than July 29th at recpro.cityofclarksville.com.

Pre-registration is required and is very limited.
