This morning when Officers arrived on scene at 3:47am, they witnessed at least three suspects fleeing on foot from the area. The suspects were never located.

At this time, it is believed that the suspects are the same suspects for each incident that has occurred between June 18th, 2015 and early this morning at Stokes Field. Also, we believe that the suspects are juveniles.

Timeline and Clint Moody’s Quotes

  1. June 18th – Suspects attempted to break into a storage shed using a blowtorch on padlocks
  2. June 21st – Suspects pried off a window from the concession stand using a tire iron, stole a felony amount of food
  3. June 29th – Misdemeanor vandalism
  4. June 30th – (early morning hours) Suspects broke in through the top floor of the building and entered the concession stand by making a hole in the floor. The damage created is considered a felony. Stolen food and a baseball bag were found near the tree line after an officer witnessed three suspects fleeing on foot.

Moody, President of Northwest Little League (NWLL), hopes the suspects will be brought to justice soon.

“They’re taking things away from the kids. It’s all about the kids,” he said.

A $100.00 reward has been offered by the league for information that leads to the arrest or conviction of any suspects.

“We just want it to stop. We’re trying to do things for the kids and it’s basically hurting everything we’re trying to do,” Moody said.

Following up on Mr Moody’s statements, CPD says we need to find these individuals so that no one else falls victim to the damage these suspects have caused the kids and those who manage Stokes Field.

When the NWLL makes money from the food they sell at the concession stands, that money goes right back into the maintenance of the field and the kids.

There is a picture of a unique pair of Converse tennis shoes that were worn by one of the suspects. If anyone knows the suspects, they should be able to recognize the shoes. Other photos, showing tools used to break in and damage to the facility, are included in this release.
