Clarksville Association of REALTORSClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of REALTORS hosted the 8th Annual F.U.E.L Block Party and Fundraiser. It was a community event coordinated by the Charity Relations Committee with the assistance of the Realtor and Affiliate Partner members of the Clarksville Association of REALTORS.

The Block Party was complete with silent auction, inflatables, live entertainment, games, vendors, and much more. Fresh from the grill hamburger and hot dog lunches were served with all proceeds going to the program.

In addition, donations were collected throughout the day. “The FUEL Program has been a long favorite fundraiser of the Clarksville Association of Realtors due to it’s positive impact on helping children get proper food and nutrition so they can focus on learning – instead of an empty belly,” said Mike Groves, President of the Clarksville Association of REALTORS.

Last year, the same event raised $8,600 for the F.U.E.L. Program. This year’s goal was to reach $9,000. The local realtors met and exceeded that goal and raised $10,607. Proceeds from the event will go towards the F.U.E.L Program and help ensure that food is provided for hungry school children.

“2,000 Children in Montgomery County receive food from the FUEL program each week, and there is still a waiting list. As Realtors, we like to give back to the community that we live and work in,” said Katie Griffin, Charity Relations Committee Chair. To date, the Clarksville Association of REALTORS has raised over $65,000 for the F.U.E.L Program.

F.U.E.L. (Full of Emmaus Love) is a food subsidization program designed to feed Clarksville-Montgomery County school children through the weekend whose only food source may be the meals they are receiving at school. Individually wrapped snack items are made available to the qualifying students each Friday. The program is funded solely through donations and local fundraising efforts and operated through local churches and civic organizations.

The public is always welcome to assist with the donations and to drop off donation items or funds at the Clarksville Association of REALTORS office located at 115 Center Pointe Drive.
