Clarksville Police Special Operation Unit along with ABC Agents seize $35,000 worth of Beer

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, July 39th, 2015, Alcohol Beverage Control Agents, along with Narcotics Agents of the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operation Unit, conducted an alcohol search warrant at the Golf Club Food Mart at 2116 Golf Club Lane, seizing the entire beer inventory.

The store has been cited for selling alcohol to persons under 21 on four different occasions, dating back to May of 2014.

On July 28th, 2015, the Clarksville City Beer Board took action for the most recent violation of selling alcohol to persons under 21 that occurred on June 30th, 2015, suspending the store’s city beer permit for 6 months.

The store owner was required to surrender the beer permit that day.

On Thursday, July 30th, Alcohol Beverage Control Agents conducted a compliance check of the business and found that the store was selling beer to customers without a permit. Criminal Charges are pending. Agent Ryan Steinlage and Agent Nathan Lee are the lead investigators.

The retail value of the seized alcohol is estimated to be over thirty-five thousand dollars.
