TWRA to hold “Shoot for the Soldiers” at Montgomery County Shooting Complex August 29th

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agenty’s “Shoot for the Soldiers,” a sporting clays event, will be held Saturday, August 29th at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex.

Proceeds from the event will go directly to Tennessee soldiers and their families or to the Moment of Freedom campaign. A portion will go to funding scholarships of soldiers from HOOAH (Healing Outside of a Hospital) while the remainder will go making outdoor recreational opportunities for wounded soldiers and their families.

“Shoot for the Soldiers” will use a 5-person team format. Teams may consist of male, female, youth, pro class, beginners or a combination. Scoring will be handled by a sporting clays professional.

To participate in the event, the cost will be $100.00 for an individual who also includes breakfast and lunch. For a youth-only shooting team, the cost is $250.00 for a 5-person team. Other levels of sponsorships are available.

In addition to the shooting competition, there will be a silent auction and fun games. Ammunition will not be furnished, but may be purchased at the event.
