Clarksville Police are investigating the shooting death of Liperial Easterling

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Sunday August 9th, 2015 at approximately 1:10am, Liperial “ Savon” Easterling (a 21-year-old Soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, KY) returned home to his residence at 2862 Teakwood Drive and as he approached his front door he was shot and killed.

Evidence indicates that there may have been two suspects shooting at Easterling. The Preliminary Investigation has not revealed any connection to drug or gang activities.

Detectives are pursuing leads, tips and have sent numerous items of evidence to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Lab. There is an ongoing collaborative effort between Clarksville Police, TBI and Military authorities to solve this homicide.

The motive for this crime is still unknown at this time. CPD are still soliciting the public’s assistance.
