Clarksville Gas and Water announces Madison Street/U.S. Highway 41-A South Water Outage Planned

Beginning Sunday, August 16th, 2015

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has scheduled water main line installation work on Madison Street and U.S. Highway 41A South between McAdoo Creek Road and Hwy 76 beginning Sunday, August 16th, 2015 and lasting for approximately fifteen nights.

Water may be turned off or water pressure may be low between the hours of 11:00pm and 5:00am while the crews are working. Water will be restored by approximately 5:00am each morning.

Construction crews will begin work at 11:00pm each night turning off water service to areas along Madison Street and U.S. Highway 41A South between McAdoo Creek Road and Hwy 76.

Areas that can expect no water or low pressure include the Clarksville Commons and surrounding area including Food Lion, K-Mart, Wendy’s, Doctor’s Care, Comet Cleaners, BP (Beach Oil), the Hananoki Shopping Center, and the Dollar General Store.

In addition to businesses and residences on Madison Street and U.S. Hwy 41A South, businesses and residences on side streets will also be affected, including Ballygar Street, Country Lane, Carney Road, Wilson Road, Ledbetter Lane, Village Way, Old Farmers Road, Excell Road, W. Regent Drive, Shady Maple Drive, Old Sango Road, Harper Road, Quail Hollow Road, Sango Place, Sango Drive, McAdoo Creek Road, Austin Brian Court, Porter Hills Drive, and Sango Crossing.

Several subdivisions that will be affected include Sango Crossing, Sheffield Woods, Poplar Hills, East Montgomery Estates, Wilson Way Estates, Porter Hills, Pine Village, Sango Place, Welchview, Royalty Acres, the Villages, Grassland East, Roosevelt Ridge, Buckner Pines, Ballygar, and Waterbury. It is possible that other areas adjacent to the aforementioned streets and subdivisions could be affected as well.

The roads will remain open to traffic during the work; however, motorists are advised to slow down when approaching the work zone and be alert to workers and their equipment.

The water main installation work is anticipated to be finished and water restored by approximately 5:00am each morning.
