Deadline for Clarksville’s Riverfest Regatta registration is Friday, September 4th

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – The registration deadline for the Ninth Annual Riverfest Regatta is right around the corner! Participants can enter as an individual or as a team for a chance to win awards!

This boat race is not like any ordinary boat race. Participants will compete in their boats made of cardboard, plastic bottles, or a few other approved materials. There will be several divisions all racing down the 100-yard long course on the Cumberland River.

The event will begin at 10:00 am, but check-in will be at 9:00am at the McGregor Park Boat Ramp. The heats will be timed with the fastest time in each division declared the winner.

Competition will be in five divisions: Adult Open, Youth with Adult, Business & Industry, Church/Civic Organization, and City/County. All boats will be pre-judged prior to the racing competition for a variety of awards. All awards will be announced and presented at the conclusion of the regatta.

Registration for the Regatta ends on September 4th, 2015. No walkups or late entries will be accepted so register as soon as possible! Enter as an individual or teams (up to eight people per boat).

Be sure to join us after the regatta as the Festival will open at 10:00am with food, music, family activities and more all night long. Check out the “Be a Diver” Diving Experience, located near the regatta launch site, where visitors can experience scuba diving in the giant 60’x40’ dive tank.

About Riverfest

Riverfest is Clarksville’s longest running community Festival. Now in its 28th year, Riverfest brings over 30,000 people to the banks of the Cumberland River in an arts and recreation celebration. This year the Festival will be held September 10th-12th, 2015. Music, art, family events, and more will fill McGregor Park.

Admission and entertainment at the Festival are free and open to the public. Riverfest is proud to announce the 2015 headliner Charles Esten, star of the hit ABC series “Nashville”. More announcements will be made soon, as new events and entertainment are finalized.
