Clarksville’s Riverfest will feature Earth Explorers themed Kids’ area

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – The Kids’ Area at Riverfest is the perfect place to bring kids of all ages. They’ll enjoy interactive games and exhibits, hands-on learning activities, and some giant inflatables! Everyone is sure to love the new 2015 theme: “Earth Explorers” as they explore over 20 different local vendors and cultural groups.

The Riverfest Kids’ Area is located at the North Extension of McGregor Park (behind O’Charleys) and is open Friday, September 11th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, September 12th from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Performances will take place every hour on Saturday.

28th annual Riverfest Celebration will be held September 10th through September 12th, 2015.

Don’t miss the walking parade at noon on Saturday, September 12th. Families, clubs, and even businesses can decorate their paper bag using this year’s theme and show it off to the Festival. Prizes will be awarded!

Most games and activities are free for the children to participate. This includes the booths operated by our partner organizations, craft area, and walking parade.

Children WILL be required to purchase a wristband if they wish to use the inflatables. The cost is $10.00 per person and is valid for unlimited rides on both Friday and Saturday. The same wristband MUST be kept on if you will use it both Friday and Saturday. No replacements will be given.

New this year – PARENTS: Save time and headache! Pre-order your child’s wristband online today and pick it up at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Main office (102 Public Square) September 8th-10th or at the Will Call Booth at the Festival.

About Riverfest

Riverfest is Clarksville’s longest running community Festival. Now in its 28th year, Riverfest brings over 30,000 people to the banks of the Cumberland River in an arts and recreation celebration. This year the Festival will be held September 10th-12th, 2015. Music, art, family events, and more will fill McGregor Park. Admission and entertainment at the Festival are free and open to the public.

Riverfest is proud to announce the 2015 headliner Charles Esten, star of the hit ABC series “Nashville”. More announcements will be made soon, as new events and entertainment are finalized.
