National Child Passenger Safety week is September 13th – 19th. It’s sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Every year, thousands of children are tragically injured or killed in car crashes.

Vehicle accidents are a leading cause of death for children. Every 34 seconds, one child under age 13 is involved in a crash. Proper use of car seats, booster seats, and seat belts will help reduce the number of deaths and injuries occurring on America’s roads.
