Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Sophomore Martin Rejman, of the Austin Peay State University men’s cross country team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Rejman won the men’s four-mile event at the APSU Cross Country Festival, posting a 20:50 mark as part of contingent that claimed the top four spots in the field en route to a decisive victory.

The Czech Republic native, who missed all of 2014 due to injury, has bounced back in a big way in 2015, with two top-10 finishes and a school-record 20:44.22 four-mile run in the season opener at the Brooks Memphis Twilight already to his credit.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

  • Redshirt freshman running back Kendall Morris, of the football team, carried the ball 15 times for 75 yards (5.0 ypc) and his first career touchdown in the Governors loss at Eastern Kentucky.
  • Junior Unjala Lester, of the women’s cross country team, won the women’s five-kilometer event at the APSU Cross Country Festival, posting a 19:22 mark to lead the Lady Govs to victory.
