‘Facets’ by Bob Privett
Clarksville Downtown Artists Cooperative Gallery

Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC) is proud to announce ‘Facets’, an exhibit of fine art painting and all new creative works by Bob Privett. Bob has had many solo exhibits across the region and his work is held in many public and private collections across the world. This is his first solo exhibit at the DAC Gallery and will be a very special exhibit!

In this exhibit the artist put brush in hand to illustrate the different directions and aspects of his imagination. His paintings range from bright, bold colors to dark, somber hues. Bob showcases different forms of painting from abstraction to expressionism.

The viewer will also enjoy samples of quilled artwork by Bob Privett. Quilling dates back to ancient Egypt. It was used by French and Italian nuns in the 16th and 17th centuries to produce high quality works of art. Everyone will also see examples of beautiful, hand-made, one-of-a-kind jewelry by Bob.

Bob says, “My passion for drawing and painting was best expressed by Pablo Picasso when he said, ‘The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web.’

The opening reception for the ‘Facets’ is on Thursday, October 1st from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The DAC will be serving up fabulous appetizers, punch and wine during the opening reception for Facets. As always, the DAC opening is a central part of Clarksville’s monthly First Thursday Art Walk, a wonderful evening of art, music and more in beautiful Historic Downtown Clarksville.

The current exhibit will be on display for the entire month of October. The DAC Gallery is located at 96 Franklin Street, in Downtown Clarksville, TN.
