Against the Redhawks, Dixon scored the opening goal in the 59th minute, heading home a cross from sophomore Caroline Wistrom to give the Lady Govs a 1-0 advantage.

Sunday, the freshman scored a brace against the Skyhawks, the second multi-goal game of her collegiate career. With the score level at 1-1 in the 72nd minute, Dixon collected a ball from sophomore Kirstin Robertson and scored the winner. Later, in the 85th minute, Dixon powered in her second goal after receiving a short pass in the box from junior Gina Fabbro.

“Mack is a true team player, and the communication and connection she has developed with the other attacking players as a freshman is a testament to her abilities,” head coach Kelley Guth said. “She works extremely hard and is very deserving of this honor. She had two solid performances this weekend, coming up with big goals for the team in critical moments.”

Dixon becomes the first Lady Gov to claim three weekly OVC awards in the same year. In addition, she is the second player to have three or more overall with Tatiana Ariza winning four Player of the Week awards throughout her four seasons.

Dixon shared the Offensive Player of the Week category with Murray State’s Taylor Richerson. Another Racer, Taylor Stevens, won Defensive Player of the Week, while Jacksonville State’s Caroline Robinson took home Goalkeeper of the Week.

Austin Peay returns to action this weekend at Jacksonville State, 7:00pm, Friday, and at Belmont, 3:00pm, Sunday.
