The 54-hole event (36 holes Monday, 18 Tuesday) will be played on the par-72, 7,372-yard layout, a course that has served as host to multiple NCAA Regionals, despite opening just nine years ago in 2006. It has been ranked as one the Top 100 Residential and Modern Golf Courses.

In addition to Austin Peay and host Western Kentucky, the strong 11-team field will feature Ohio Valley Conference foes Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Tennessee Tech and Eastern Kentucky along with Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, Indiana Purdue Ft. Wayne, Memphis and Samford.

Austin Peay will feature the same lineup it used at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational two weeks ago when the Governors took sixth place: Seniors Chris Baker, Austin Kramer and Tyler Phillips will play the top three spots while sophomore Justin Arens and junior Erik Hedberg will round out the lineup.

In SIUE’s event, Baker fired an even par 213 to finish tied for 10th while Arens, playing in his first fall event, was one shot back to finish tied for 14th. Kramer’s 216 left him in a 19th-place tie.

“We are looking forward to heading to Bowling Green for the Kenny Perry Invitational,” APSU coach Robbie Wilson said. “The Club at Olde Stone is always in great shape and it’s a place that many teams may shy away from because of its difficulty. Our guys are ready and prepared.

“We took the week off to address some issues that have been plaguing our guys the first three events and we will go up there with the mindset to compete and win.”

This will be APSU’s fourth 2015-16 event. They will wrap up their fall play with the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, October 19th-20th, at the Links at Novadell in Hopkinsville, KY.
