Nashville Sounds Foundation to hold “Suites-N-Treats” on Wednesday, October 28th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Foundation will host its inaugural “Suites-N-Treats” event for underprivileged and special needs children at First Tennessee Park on Wednesday, October 28th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Suites-N-Treats is an event that will provide underprivileged and special needs children in the greater Nashville area with the opportunity to trick or treat in a safe and unique environment.

There will also be activities set up for the participants, which include decorating their own trick or treat bags, making picture frames, enjoying complimentary food/drink (donated by Centerplate and Coca-Cola), and the opportunity to meet Sounds mascot Booster and take pictures with him.

This is a private event for children who have previously received an invitation through one of the participating non-profit organizations.

The event will take place on the Club Level of First Tennessee Park with the support of the Sounds’ suite holders, who were each invited to decorate their suite so the children could go “door-to-door” for a unique “trick-or-treating” experience. Booster, the Sounds’ mascot, and members of the team’s front office staff will dress up in costumes and contribute to the festive atmosphere.

“As an organization, we understand that not all children have the opportunity to experience the wonders of trick or treating,” said Garry Arthur, the Sounds’ COO & General Manager. “Therefore, we have partnered with several non-profit organizations and are excited to be able to help underprivileged children celebrate the joyous occasion of Halloween during this great community event.”

Suites-N-Treats offers a terrific opportunity for media coverage. All media planning on attending the event should enter through the First Tennessee Park Club Level entry doors (entrance behind home plate). It is recommended media arrive for the first hour of the event.

Close to 400 children participating with various non-profit groups are expected to attend. Participating non-profits include: Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Monroe Harding, Dreams & Wishes of Tennessee, Mended Little Hearts, Youth Encouragement Services, Backfield in Motion, Autism Tennessee, The McNeilly Center for Children, Boys and Girls Club of Middle TN (Fairview club), Nashville RBI (Reviving Baseball In Inner Cities), and Buena Vista Elementary School.
