Despite a hard-fought effort against the regular-season champions, APSU came up just short in its quest to reach the postseason.

The Racers (14-4-0, 10-0-0 OVC) scored the opening goal in the seventh minute after winning the ball in the APSU half.

Taylor Stevens delivered a pass to Harriet Withers in the box, who then played a soft, low cross to Taylor Richerson who slotted it home.

One minute into the second half, senior Shelby Olszewski played a short pass to the feet of junior Gina Fabbro, who made an inside turn to separate herself and fired a strike from just outside the 18-yard box.

APSU Gina FabbroIt’s the 10th goal of the season for the Canadian, becoming the sixth player in program history to score 10 or more goals in a single year.
