Montgomery County, TN – The Quality Inn at Exit 4 celebrated their Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification this week with a green ribbon cutting.
Montgomery County Chief of Staff, Jeff Truitt, Clarksville Chief of Administration, Charlie Gentry, and Clarksville Chamber Executive Director, Melinda Shepherd, were there to celebrate Quality Inn’s commitment to the community. Hotel owners David and Susan Berck were also in attendance.
Susan Berck led the effort for the Quality Inn to become certified and shared some of the changes they made. “We’ve changed to more efficient lighting in some areas of the hotel, and have an ongoing “lights off” campaign. We recycle cardboard, paper and newspaper, solicit conservation ideas from staff at meetings and have upgraded to more energy efficient equipment. We feel the effort for the certification has been well worth it. This month, Richard Roland, our general manager, was able to notify our trash company that we would need less service.”“Thank you for your work, the updates you have made look great and we are glad to recognize you today,” said Truitt.
Quality Inn, Exit 4 is conveniently located near shopping, dining and the interstate.
