Heavy Rain possible for Clarksville Wednesday

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports a strong cold front late Wednesday will bring rainfall of one to three inches to the Clarksville-Montgomery County area as well as parts of Middle Tennessee Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Rainfall may become heavy at times and most may fall in a 4 to 6 hours window. This may produce minor flooding of smaller creeks and streams but overall the potential for flooding will be minimal.

Standing water on roadways, however, is a almost certain.

The heaviest rainfall is likely to occur around Nashville metro area and west.
