Fort Campbell Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s pediatric service moves back inside hospital

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s pediatric service, the Young Eagle Medical Home, returns to its previous location January 4th, but with a complete facelift. The $2.3 million design and build for the 9,000 square foot hospital renovation project accommodates Army Medicine’s Patient and Family Centered Medical Home concept of care.

Construction officially began August 27th, 2014 and ends mid-December 2015.

While the YEMH team transitions to their new permanent location Christmas Eve and December 28th – 30th, the team will offer their assigned patient population medical care in the Blackhawk Team location within the Air Assault Family Medical Home, located within the C building entrance off Bastogne Avenue.

YEMH patients will begin to receive care in their newly designed medical home after the holiday, January 4th.

“Our patients have been very supportive over the past couple of years as the location of their child’s care moved outside the hospital,” said chief of Young Eagle Medical Home Maj. Justin Sterne. “We ask for your continued support and patience as we transition back into the hospital over the holiday season. We look forward to the New Year as we will be offering our patient population medical care in a state-of-the-art, pediatric-friendly, brand-new clinic.”
