Horton’s 94 percent shooting is the highest field-goal percentage by a player with a minimum of 15 attempts over the last five seasons.

Those 37 points represented APSU’s best single-game scoring performance since Drake Reed had 37 points against Eastern Illinois, December 6th, 2008. It was APSU’s first 30-point game effort since Travis Betran had 32 in the 2013-14 season finale at UT Martin.

Horton’s performance came on the heels of his previous scoring high against North Florida, Wednesday night, when he scored 28 points on 13-of-19 shooting and grabbed 17 rebounds—his second highest total this season—while also collecting three steals.

Horton is ranked first nationally in offensive rebounds per game (5.92) and is second in rebounds per game (13.5). He also is tied for first in double-doubles (10). He enters Tuesday’s home game against Wofford needing just eight rebounds for 1,000.

This is the second OVC Player of the Week honor for Horton this season and third during his career. He eared this year’s honor after averaging 19.5 ppg and 13.5 rpg in contests against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Troy.
