4 to 8 inches of Snow now expected for Clarksville-Montgomery County, Friday

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a winter storm warning for snow and ice which is in effect from 6:00pm Friday to 6:00am CT Saturday for Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Snow accumulations from 4 to 8 inches are possible with locally higher amounts. Ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are possible, especially for counties closest to the Kentucky state line.

Snow and possibly ice on roads and bridges will create hazardous travel conditions.

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow,  sleet, and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible.

This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

Counties Affected

Macon County, Montgomery County, Robertson County, Stewart County, Sumner County, and Trousdale County.
