Clarksville-Montgomery County under Travelers Advisory today, January 24th

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a travelers advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County and all of Middle Tennessee through this morning.

Melting of ice and snow has occurred and will continue today on roadways across the mid state.

As a result, hazardous driving conditions are expected this morning and later tonight when freezing temperatures return to the area.

It is recommended that if you travel, exercise extra caution while driving at a reduced speed and leave plenty of time to get to your destination.

In addition, patchy freezing fog will impact the area through mid morning. Visibility may be reduced to below 1 mile at times.

Use caution if traveling through areas with fog this morning.
