Coming off a 14-8 record and an Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship berth a year ago, the Govs participated in four fall tournaments to prepare for a clean slate.

In the preseason, juniors Aaron Jumonville and Manuel Montenegro established themselves as the 1-2 punch at the top of the order, with 33 combined wins in 2014-15.

The lone senior on the roster, Evan Borowski, will earn another chance to capture a medal before graduating, junior James Mitchell returns to the court coming off an injury, while rising sophomore Aleh Drobysh seeks to build upon a five-win season.

Completing the squad are three freshmen – Taylor Graalman, Chad Woodham and Alex Kartsonis – making it the youngest APSU men’s tennis roster since 2011-12. Both Graalman and Woodham arrived in the fall to make the collegiate transition, while Kartsonis, a fall signee from Leawood, Kansas, will make his debut this spring.

The Mocs went 5-16 a season ago, but return all but one player to bolster a roster with three seniors and four juniors.

The Governors have won each of the last three meetings against Chattanooga, with all three finishing at 4-3.
