Light Snow accumulations possible Monday and Tuesday for Clarksville-Montgomery County

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports a strong and deep upper level trough will begin developing over the eastern United States through Monday. Meanwhile, a strong cold front will move through the region tonight and bring noticeably colder temperatures to the area.

As numerous impulses interact with the increasingly colder air mass, rain tonight will change over to snow for Clarksville-Montgomery Count and part of Middle Tennessee by midday Monday.

A light snowfall is possible for Clarksville-Montgomery County Monday afternoon through Tuesday.

A good chance of snow will continue into Monday night with light snowfall still possible for Tuesday as well.

Snowfall accumulations are expected to be light with totals ranging from a dusting across western and southern Middle Tennessee to up to 1 inch closer to the plateau.

Although this snow will not have a widespread impact. A few areas could experience slick roads.

Counties Affected

Macon County, Montgomery County, Robertson County, Stewart County, and Sumner County.
