Another round of snow possible tonight and early Friday for Clarksville-Montgomery County

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports an upper level disturbance will dive southeastward tonight, Thursday February 11th, 2016 and bring a good chance of snow across Clarksville-Montgomery County and the northeastern portion of the mid state.

The snowfall should begin after midnight and continue into Friday. Areas along the central and northern plateau could see between one half and one inch of snow accumulation.

Elsewhere, amounts of less than a half inch could extend as far west as Interstate 24.

The snow may mix with some rain shower activity in the afternoon before ending by evening.

Motorists should take note that ground surface temperatures are on the cold side and any snowfall that occurs will accumulate rather quickly. If encountering snow covered roads when traveling, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Hazardous road conditions are likely to develop by late tonight across the plateau.

Clay County, Macon County, Montgomery County, Pickett County, Robertson County, and Sumner County.
