Patchy dense fog likely for Clarksville Montgomery County early this morning

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports that clear skies, light wind and plenty of low level moisture in place is expected to result in patchy dense fog developing early this morning for Clarksville-Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee.

Visibilities will vary but may drop to below 1/2 mile at times. Areas of denser fog that have temperatures near or below freezing may see slick spots develop, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. The fog is expected to lift by 8:00am or 9:00am. If you are traveling this morning allow a little extra time to reach your destination.
