Clarksville Parks and Recreation will Celebrate Arbor Day March 10th

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 10th at 10:00am, Clarksville City Forester Kathrine Stevenson, along with elementary school students, will celebrate “Arbor Day” by planting two Red Maple trees at Oakland Elementary School, located at 1050 Cherry Blossom Lane.

The trees that will be planted have been donated by the Clarksville Department of Electricity.

John Woodcock, Rural Forest Resource Management Forester for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, will present the following awards:  Tree Line USA, Tree Growth Award, Tree Campus Certified.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, the Tennessee Division of Forestry and the Clarksville Tree Board will also be in attendance.
