Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Earlier this semester, Austin Peay State University’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity chapter presented a $20,000 check to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Over the course of the last five years, the chapter has raised more than $100,000. On February 20th, chapter members toured the hospital to understand the importance of their contributions to this important cause.

“Seeing the young patients reminded me of why we do this,” Nick Roberts, chapter president, said. “These children need our help, as well as support from the community.”

The chapter is asking the Clarksville community to come together to help raise awareness, funds and support to end childhood cancer. The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital needs $2 million a day to operate in Memphis.

The Alpha Tau Omega chapter’s next Jump for Jude event will be at 4:00pm on April 8th, in Memorial Health Building/Red Barn on campus. Donations can be made at any time until the day of the event, and tickets can be purchased from a member of the fraternity or at the door when you arrive.
