The 36-hole event will see 18 holes played, Sunday, and the final 18 holes, Monday, on the par 72, 6017-yard layout.

In addition to Austin Peay State University and host Southern Illinois, the tourney also will include three other Ohio Valley Conference programs—Eastern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville and Tennessee State.

Also participating will be Chicago State, South Dakota, IUPUI, IPFW, Nebraska-Omaha, Lindenwold and William Woods along with junior colleges John A Logan and Rend Lake.

APSU is coming off a fifth-place finish, Tuesday, at the 12-team Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, despite struggling with its short game. This week’s lineup will include senior Jessica Cathey, who tallied an eighth-place finish in Sevierville; junior Morgan Kauffman, sophomore AnnaMichelle Moore and freshmen twin sisters Taylor Goodley and Ashton Goodley. It’s a homecoming of sorts for the Goodleys, who are from nearby Eldorado, and have experience on the course.

“We are looking forward to going out and improving on last week’s rounds,” APSU coach Sara Robson said. “We need to focus on our short game shots as that will allow us to score.

“We are so proud of this team and how talented they are; they need to believe in themselves and each other which would allow them to relax and just play golf!”
