Meanwhile, the Racers (2-19, 0-5 OVC) have lost 12 in a row.

Beginning in doubles action, Austin Peay’s top groupings provided the spark, led by juniors Aaron Jumonville and Manuel Montenegro who knocked off Murray State’s No. 1 pairing of Marcel Ueltzhoeffer and David Schrott, 6-4.

No. 2s Aleh Drobysh and Almantas Ozelis grabbed their sixth-straight win as a doubles team, clinching the point with a 6-3 nod over Davis Hess and Will True. Unfortunately, the Govs couldn’t make it three in a row as Alex Kartsonis and Chad Woodham fell to Javier Villar and Srdjan Trosic, 7-5.

In singles, Jumonville picked up a much-needed win to break an 0-9 slump, defeating Ueltzhoeffer, 2-6, 7-5, 6-0, while Ozelis battled for a three-set nod over True, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.

Montenegro cruised over Schrott, 6-1, 6-2, for his fifth win of 2016, followed by Drobysh topping Trosic, 6-2, 6-4. At the No. 5 spot, Kartsonis earned his first OVC victory, outplaying Hess to a 6-4, 6-4 score. Lastly, Murray State’s Villar defeated Woodham, 6-2, 6-4, to conclude play.
