Clarksville Police release update on Old Russellville Pike Crash

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On April 5th, 2016, Clarksville Police Officers worked a single-vehicle crash on Old Russellville Pike between Warfield Boulevard and Centennial Drive. A van was traveling south on Old Russellville Pike and left the roadway.

The driver was 24-year-old John Key, his wife 24-year-old Whitney Key was in the passenger seat, and their two sons were in the back seats.

A van left the road and hit a mailbox, utility pole and then a house on Old Russellville Pike Tuesday night.

Their 14-month-old son was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center immediately after the crash.

Their 5-year-old son was first taken to Tennova Medical Center (formerly known as Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville) and then transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Their injuries are reported as non-life-threatening injuries.

The Key family is from Clarksville.

This is an ongoing investigation and crash details will be released when they become available.
