Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has named Melody Nix as the new principal of Burt Elementary School beginning with the 2016-17 school year.
She will replace Diana Hara, who is retiring at the end of this school year.
She previously has served as an academic coach at Ringgold Elementary and has prior experience as an elementary teacher at Ringgold, Rossview Elementary School and Glenellen Elementary School in the CMCSS and in schools in Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland and Mississippi.
She earned her both her doctorate in leadership and professional development and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a 2015-16 selection for the advanced leadership training for assistant principals.
