Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans make a trade with the Denver Broncos to move up and take Southern Utah Thunderbirds defensive back LeShaun Sims with the 176 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
The Titans sent the 176 pick in this year’s draft along with a sixth round pick in 2017. Tennessee picks up an additional seventh round pick as well.
At 6’0″ and 203 pounds, Sims ran a 4.53 second 40 yard dash, had a 37″ vertical jump and ran the 20 yard shuttle in 4.19 seconds at the NFL Combine. He also had a 120.0″ broad jump and ran the 3 cone drill in 7.09 seconds.In four seasons at Southern Utah, Sims had 220 tackles in 46 career starts. In 2015, he had 12 passes defensed and two interceptions.
Sims has good speed, weight, length and height for a cornerback. Has good footwork and is a good tackler.
