Fort Campbell, KY – A 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Soldier died May 10th from injuries sustained during a live-fire training exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, LA.
Soldiers and Department of Emergency Services personnel responded immediately to the incident, where the Soldier was transported to Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital on Fort Polk where he was later pronounced deceased.
The incident is currently under investigation and the name of the Soldier is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
