Nashville Sounds start Eight Game Home Series Saturday, May 14th

Pennant Giveaway, Human Cannonball Appearance and Superhero Day Highlight Upcoming Week at First Tennessee Park

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club begins an eight-game homestand on Saturday, May 14th when they welcome the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, the Fresno Grizzlies, to First Tennessee Park.

Following the four-game series against the Grizzlies, the Sounds will welcome the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, the Sacramento River Cats, for a four-game series from Thursday, May 19th to Sunday, May 22nd.

Below is a preview for each game of the homestand.

Saturday, May 14th

Nashville Sounds vs. Fresno
6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

Sunday, May 15th

Nashville Sounds vs. Fresno
2:05pm, Gates open at 1:00pm

  • Pre-game autograph session with select Sounds players from 1:15pm-1:30.pm
  • Military Sunday presented by Piedmont Natural Gas, Tennessee 811 and WSMV Channel 4 – the Sounds will wear camouflage jerseys to honor active/veteran military men, women & families.
  • Post-game Kids Run the Bases (12 & under) presented by First Tennessee.

Monday, May 16th

Nashville Sounds vs. Fresno
6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • Major League Monday Pennant Giveaway presented by 650 AM WSM (First 2,000 Fans).
  • Kroger Plus Monday – Buy a “Family 4-Pack” that includes 4 Select section tickets, 4 hot dogs & 4 fountain sodas for $44.00. This offer is only available at participating Ticketmaster locations inside Kroger stores and is not available at First Tennessee Park.

Tuesday, May 17th

Nashville Sounds vs. Fresno
6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • “Live from Nashville, it’s Tuesday Night” – The Human Cannonball Appearance – This wild entertainment act is like something you’ve never seen before. The Human Cannonball, David ‘The Bullet’ Smith, will shoot out of a cannon on the field at First Tennessee Park after Tuesday night’s game.

Thursday, May 19th

Nashville Sounds vs. Sacramento
6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • Throwback Thursday presented by iHeartMedia – the Sounds will wear throwback jerseys to commemorate the team’s original uniform style from 1978. Fans can purchase Coca-Cola fountain soda, domestic draft beers and 12oz. cans for $2.00 each. Bud and Bud Light 16oz. cans and import and craft draft beer can be purchased for $3.00 each.

Friday, May 20th

Nashville Sounds vs. Sacramento
6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • FOX17 post-game fireworks presented by Koorsen Fire & Security.

Saturday, May 21st

  • Superhero Theme Day and Superhero Cape Giveaway – Wear your superhero costume to help celebrate Superhero Day at First Tennessee Park. The first 1,000 kids ages 12 and under will receive a Superhero Cape presented by Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
  • Pre-game autograph session with select Sounds players 12:15pm-12:30pm.
