Weather Advisory issued for Clarksville-Montgomery County

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a significant weather advisory for Southwestern Montgomery County, Southern Stewart County, North Central Humphreys County, Houston County, and Northwestern Dickson County until 5:30pm CDT.

At 4:41pm CDT, doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Tennessee Ridge, or 12 miles south of Dover, moving east at 35 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include: Dover, Erin, Clarksville, Tennessee Ridge, Vanleer, Cumberland City, Slayden, Palmyra, Houston County Airport, Indian Mound and Cunningham.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
