Academy Graduates join Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies on Patrol

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson would like to congratulate Tecoah McDowell, John Fleming , and Tommy Vallejos Jr. on their graduation from Walters State Regional Law Enforcement Academy.

The three graduates will join 42 other deputies currently working in the patrol division at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office under Lieutenant Jessie Nugent.

Tecoah McDowell has been with the Sheriff’s Office since May 2004. He started as a deputy in the detention center. In November 2009 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. McDowell received the Outstanding Achievement Award for his graduating class.

John Fleming started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in April 2012 as an intern. He joined the force full time as jail deputy in March 2014. Working in law enforcement is a family tradition for John. His father is an eleven year veteran of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Tommy Vallejos Jr. has been with the Sheriff’s Office since December 2013. He started as a deputy in the detention center. Vallejos served in the United States Military for seven years in Security Forces. He served a tour of duty in Japan and Iraq.

“We are proud to be a part of their next step in their law enforcement career,” said Nugent. “I know they are eager to start work and put the skills they learned in the Academy to use.”
