Montgomery County TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Since the proposed amendments to the Montgomery County Animal Care and Control regulations were discussed this past Wednesday, we have received several calls and emails regarding the proposed changes, specifically relating to pet licenses.

In an effort to get as much feedback as we can, the proposed regulations are posted on our website www.mcgtn.org

They are also be posted on Montgomery County Animal Care and Control’s website as well.

We have also set up an email address where you can submit your questions/comments concerning the proposed regulations. I would encourage everyone to read the regulations and submit your questions and comments.

That email address is comments@mcgtn.net

If you have a specific question, we will respond to your question. All comments will be forwarded to all of County Commissioner’s as well as responses to all the questions.

I would ask two things of you

  1. Give us your opinion or your questions. We will not get into a lengthy debate about this issue. If you disagree with a section of the regulations, or all of them, just tell us what you disagree with and why.
  2. Please share this with all your friends. We want as much feedback from our citizens as we can get.

Finally, at our next informal meeting Jeanette Farrell, Director of Animal Care and Control, will give a presentation to the County Commission highlighting some of the major changes. That meeting will be on July 5th at 6:00pm in the Commission Chambers inside the Montgomery County Courthouse. This meeting is open to the public and I hope to see you there.
