Clarksville Department of Electricity says Early Morning Storms Caused Power Outages

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – Storms that moved through Clarksville early this morning have caused power outages that affected approximately 10,000 customers in various part of town.

Customers began reporting outages in the northern part of town around 2:30am. Shortly after that, high winds and lightning brought down tree limbs and tripped electrical system equipment all across town.

Power Outage

At 8:45am this morning, power had been restored to all but about 1,000 customers.

Outages are widespread due to multiple storms that spanned across many areas of town.

Crews are working diligently to restore service as quickly as possible to all customers.
