Clarksville Montgomery County School System Administrator Announcements

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County School System has appointed two veteran administrators to middle school principal positions effective for the upcoming school year.

Current New Providence Middle School Principal Laura Barnett will serve as the new principal at Rossview Middle School. Richview Middle School Assistant Principal Laura Boss will take over at Northeast Middle School.

Barnett replaces Christina Harris who took a position in Wilson County Schools and Boss replaces Tracy Hollinger, who was named Director of Instruction and Curriculum 6-8.

Barnett served as principal at New Providence for 12 years, with about 12 years prior experience in CMCSS. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, a Master’s of Arts in Education, an Education Specialist degree in administration and supervision, and a B.S. in English from Austin Peay State University.  She currently serves as a adjunct faculty member at Austin Peay. She is certified in district and state leadership training.

Boss has 15 years of education experience, the most recent five years as Assistant Principal at Richview Middle. She served as a math teacher at West Creek Middle School for three years, an elementary teacher at Byrns Darden Elementary School and previously in New Jersey. She earned her Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix, and her B.A. from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.  She has completed various leadership trainings, including Advance Leadership Training for Assistant Principals.
