This is the third consecutive CALEA accreditation awarded to CPD.

“I am so proud of Chief Ansley and his team at CPD for all the work they have done to achieve this accreditation,” said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan. “Most importantly, however, I am proud and grateful for the work they do every day for our citizens. When you look at the statistics for cities that compare with Clarksville, it’s very clear that our police department is one of the best in the country.”

The CALEA process is a multi-step application that requires a written submission as well as an interview with the Chief of Police. The application is reviewed by independent assessors and CALEA’s commissioners.
