Montgomery County Assessor of Property Erinne Hester becomes Certified Public Administrator

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Assessor of Property Erinne Hester was recently designated as a Certified Public Administrator by The University of Tennessee County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS) at a Capstone Event held at Montgomery Bell State Park.

To be designated a Certified Public Administrator; one must complete 80 credit hours in the County Officials Certificate Training Program (COCTP).

Hester states, “I am very proud to have completed this certification. It has taken a lot of time and dedication to complete, and has given me a broad base of training opportunities that will allow me to better serve Montgomery County.”

Robin Roberts, executive director of CTAS, states, “Some courses are tailored for a specific office, while others cover general managerial and governmental functions. The entire program is designed for practicality and to build skills the officials need every day to better serve their constituents. ” Some topics include ethics, fire insurance ratings, finance, records management, proactive leadership, and information technology proficiency.”

This program is administered by the UT CTAS and is available to every county official and county employee in the state.
