2016 Unity Prayer Walk & Praise Fest

The vision for the Unity Prayer Walk came to Clarksville by way of Pastor Sean Miles from Fort Bragg. “I have had the opportunity to witness the effect and change that this Prayer Walk has had in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This event has been successful in bringing together local churches and elected officials to unite on one accord to pray for our community.

The Prayer Walk has grown from 2,100 participants in 2008 to over 5,500 earlier this year” expressed Pastor Miles. “God definitely belongs in our City and through prayer, love and supporting one another is the only thing that we can overcome the division that has separated us from true unity.”

“We are all part of the same community and we have to work together to make our city and county place of peace,” said Pastor and Montgomery County Commissioner Tommy Vallejos. “This unity prayer walk is symbolic of what we can achieve by coming together as one to support our clergy, elected officials, law enforcement officers and residents.”

“October 1st will be a celebration of the unity and oneness that we seldom see. This will be a day to take a stand for all people through the power of our Lord” commented CAMA President Timothy Grant

The walk is FREE and everyone is invited to participate. For those desiring t-shirts, we are requesting a donation of $5.00 during registration.

“I urge all Christians to take part in this monumental day in the history of Clarksville. This is an opportunity for all people of all colors, all backgrounds, and all denominations to come together as one to let everyone know that we stand together. All lives matter is the sight of God and I am truly grateful that God has allowed me to be a part of this movement” expressed Clarksville City Councilman Richard Reason Garrett.
