CDE Lightband Employees Raise Funds to Benefit Electric Assistance Program

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband employees recently participated in an Olympic themed fundraiser. The two-week event concluded with employees raising $1,066.70 for Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action’s Project Help initiative.

Project Help is a last option electric bill assistance program that can assist up to a one-time contribution of $200.00.

Last year, Project Help assisted 185 households, which included a total of 505 individuals and 246 children.

“Our employees are dedicated to giving back to our community,” stated Brian Taylor, General Manager of CDE Lightband. “I could not be more proud of our employees for their commitment to providing excellent service and still making time to raise money for such an important cause.”

CDE Lightband employees focus on different philanthropic organizations in the community throughout the year. Community Actions Executive Director, Leslie Chiodini, will be at CDE Lightband, 2021 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, on Wednesday, August 31st at 3:30pm for a formal check presentation with employees that received gold medals during the events.
